This accessibility statement applies to healthforunder5s.co.uk

This website is run by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

• change colours, contrast levels and fonts

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

The button for choosing your local area on the navigation bar is missing a valid role attribute, this fails WCAG 4.1.2.

Accordion boxes to expand and collapse content are missing a valid role attribute, this fails WCAG 4.1.2.

Some category indicators for posts do not meet a contrast ratio of 4.5:1 between text and background, this fails WCAG 1.4.3.

On the search menu, the submit and close buttons have icons but no discernible text, this fails WCAG 4.1.2.

We plan to address the above issues by the end of December 2026.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

PDFs and other documents

Some of our pages link to PDF documents provided by external organisations for additional content.  Whilst these documents are outside of our control, we will update links to web page content where possible when articles are reviewed.

Live video

We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.

This website was last tested on 3rd June 2026. The test was carried out in-house by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust using the Accessibility Insights for Web tool.

We used a sample of pages for testing which covered different content types, including written and video content.
