What is The Nurture Programme?

Children are rewarding and fun, but looking after them can sometimes feel challenging. The Nurturing Programme helps deal with those challenges so your family live a calmer, happier life. A tried and tested programme, it helps us think about what we do, why we do it and how it makes us feel. The programme supports positive parenting, emotional wellbeing and child development, helping children to be healthy, confident and ready to learn when they start school. In interactive ways, you will able to explore with other parents in a safe space with someone from your local Health Visiting Service.

How will it help?

This programme will help you to:

• Understand children’s emotions and behaviour
• Building positive parent-child relationships
• Supporting healthy boundaries and managing behaviour
• Improving parental wellbeing and confidence and having the tools to help you

How long is it?

• 10 x two hour sessions with a tea and coffee break

Practical information

We welcome parents and carers to the course. It’s important to come to all ten sessions to get the most out of the course, as they fit together like a puzzle. We know that life happens, if you can’t make one, please let us know.
