How do you know you are safe with Leicester Hospital’s Maternity Services?

  • We are planning to train staff in LGBTQ+ healthcare needs
  • We are writing staff guidelines to help support personalised care for our trans and non-binary community
  • We are changing our signs and posters to make them inclusive
  • We are adding new sections to your handheld notes so that we can talk about your needs
  • We will be asking you what your pronouns are, and you may see staff members wearing badges that tell you theirs
  • We are part of the Rainbow Badge scheme. This is a scheme that gives staff a way to show that Leicester Hospitals give open, non-judgemental and inclusive care for people and their families, who identify as LGBTQ+
