Supporting your family in leading healthy lives

Young interracial family with little children having breakfast.

Families who are active and eat well are more likely to be a healthy weight and have less health problems in later life.

There are lots of things that we can do to keep ourselves and our families healthy.  These include:

  • Eating healthy meals and snacks
  • Being active
  • Getting plenty of sleep
  • Thinking about portion sizes

To support you in getting advice, tips and information around how to help your family lead healthier lifestyles, we have devised an online questionnaire covering various topics including:

  • Diet
  • Portion sizes
  • Fussy eating
  • Drinks
  • Exercise

By answering the questions, you will be presented with a personalised care plan with advice and lots of links to additional resources that you can use to make a difference in your family.

Click this link to complete the short questionnaire and create your own personalised care plan to keep your family fit and healthy

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust runs a confidential secure text messaging service for parents of children aged 0-19 years called Chat Health. The service operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, excluding bank holidays. All texts will be responded to by a public health nurse (health visitor/school nurse) within 24 hours. Outside of the service working hours, you’ll receive a message back to inform you that your text will be responded to once the line reopens.

Should you require urgent health advice in the meantime, please contact your GP, visit an NHS walk-in centre or call NHS 111. For emergencies, dial 999 or visit A&E.
