Using the Badger Notes App

Download Badger Notes from your phone’s app store

1. Open the app and tap Create Account.
2. If you already have an account, sign in with your email and password.
3. If you have forgotten your password, tap Forgot Password.
4. Use the same email address you gave to your midwife.
5. You will need your Activation Phrase. Your midwife may have sent this to you by text message.
6. The Activation Phrase is not your password.
7. You will create your own password when setting up your account.
8. You can also register using your NHS Login.

Once your account is ready, you can start using Badger Notes. The video below will give you information how to use Badger Notes:

If you cannot see your pregnancy in the app:

1. Tap the three-line menu in the top left corner.
2. Select Add a Care Record.
3. Enter your Activation Phrase.

If you have not had your first appointment with your midwife yet, please complete the Pre-booking Questionnaire in the app.

This gives your midwife important information about your health and pregnancy.

Notifications help you receive:

• Appointment reminders
• Important updates from your maternity team

To change your notification settings:

1. Tap the three-line menu.
2. Select Settings.
3. Turn notifications on or off.
4. Tap Save.

You can see notifications by tapping the bell icon.

You can change your phone number or email address in Edit Profile. Please note: this only changes your details in the Badger Notes app.

To update your details held by the hospital, please contact your community midwife.

To see hospital and emergency contact numbers:

1. Tap the three-line menu.
2. Select Hospital Contacts.

1. Tap the three-line menu.
2. Tap English.
3. Choose your language.
4. Tap Continue.

If your midwife has only just given you your Activation Phrase, please wait a little while and try again later the same day.

This usually means you have used the app before.

This may be because:

• You used Badger Notes during a previous pregnancy.
• You used the Baby Diary app.
• You were given access to Baby Diary by someone else.

If you cannot remember your password, select Forgotten Password on the login page.
