Together Substance Misuse Treatment Service

EDP Drug & Alcohol Services support people to address their drug and alcohol misuse. A fundamental belief underpinning their work is that, given the right support and resources, people can and do make remarkable changes.

EDP Drug & Alcohol Services are passionate about supporting individuals who face complex issues, including substance misuse, mental ill health, and other harmful, addictive and offending behaviour, to improve their health, wellbeing and employability. We work primarily in the South West, providing services across Devon and Dorset, in the community and within prisons.

They offer:

  • Services in the community and in prisons that support people who wish to address their drug and alcohol use, as well as their families and concerned others
  • Hidden Gems, a programme which supports people towards and into employment through learning how to design, make and sell jewellery and other handcrafted items from recycled metals
  • Flourish Health and Wellbeing Cafés, supporting people to improve their health and wellbeing through food, fitness and holistic tools

For more information, visit the EDP website.

Devon County Council runs a confidential secure text messaging service for parents of children aged 0-19 years called ChatHealth. The service operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, excluding bank holidays. All texts will be responded to by a public health nurse (health visitor/school nurse) within 24 hours. Outside of the service working hours, you’ll receive a message back to inform you that your text will be responded to once the line reopens. You can also call our Public Health Nursing hubs on the numbers listed below.

If you are concerned about the safety of a child in Devon, contact our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 0345 155 1071 or email mashsecure@devon.gov.uk with as much information as possible.
