Getting the right care for a health problem in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland

Pregnant woman on the phone

It can be difficult to think clearly when you, or your child, experience an immediate health problem.

NHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland have created a page called Get In The Know to help you understand local services, before you need to know, so that you know where to reach out in the event of an injury or illness.

The page gives information about urgent care services such as your GP practice, 111 and A&E. As well as how your pharmacist or 111 online can help with minor ailments. Get In The Know also gives local information about children’s healthcare, dental care or where to go for mental health and wellbeing support.

Click here to visit the page.

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust runs a confidential secure text messaging service for parents of children aged 0-19 years called Chat Health. The service operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, excluding bank holidays. All texts will be responded to by a public health nurse (health visitor/school nurse) within 24 hours. Outside of the service working hours, you’ll receive a message back to inform you that your text will be responded to once the line reopens.
