A website which provides information about infant crying and how to cope is being highlighted by Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s Healthy Family Teams.
ICON is a programme that provides information about these issues, with lots of resources which can be shared and downloaded.
ICON stands for:

• I – Infant crying is normal
• C – Comforting methods can help
• O – It’s OK to walk away
• N – Never ever shake a baby

Speak to someone if you need support such as your family, friends, midwife, GP or health visitor.

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust runs a confidential secure text messaging service for parents of children aged 0-19 years called Parentline. The service operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.30pm, excluding bank holidays. All texts will be responded to by a public health practitioner within 24 hours. Outside of the service working hours, you’ll receive a message back to inform you that your text will be responded to once the line reopens.
