Families Information Service in Nottinghamshire

A virtual hub to support families looking for childcare and parenting information.

The Families Information Service provides families with a virtual family hub where you can search a directory of childcare providers, find information about different types of childcare and the funding available to help with your childcare costs.
You will also find lots of useful information for families, including activities to do at home and in the community, guidance on parenting challenges, child development, support for families of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), healthy lifestyles, volunteering, returning to work and lots more. You’ll find all of this and more on our virtual family hub at Notts Help Yourself.

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust runs a confidential secure text messaging service for parents of children aged 0-19 years called Parentline. The service operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.30pm, excluding bank holidays. All texts will be responded to by a public health practitioner within 24 hours. Outside of the service working hours, you’ll receive a message back to inform you that your text will be responded to once the line reopens.
