Antenatal Infant Feeding Session - 19th September

The ‘Antenatal Infant Feeding Sessions: Getting feeding off to a good start’ are aimed at parents and carers who are pregnant and awaiting their new arrival!  This session offers information on early infant feeding and how to get feeding off to a good start.

These one-off sessions are delivered in a virtual (video link) format lasting up to 90 minutes and includes the following topics (all sessions will deliver the same information):

  • Building a close and loving relationship with your baby during pregnancy and after birth.
  • The ‘golden hour’ after birth.
  • Feeding cues.
  • The benefits of breastfeeding for baby and mum.
  • How to get breastfeeding off to a good start.
  • When has baby had enough?
  • How can dads, partners, grandparents or family members help?
  • How can I get support with infant feeding issues?
  • Q&A Session (there will be an additional 30 minutes added at the end to enable any parents/carers in the group to ask infant feeding related questions).
