TalkWorks

TalkWorks is a free, confidential, NHS talking therapy service which is part of IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) for people age 18+ in Devon (excluding Plymouth).

The service has 5 bases across Devon and consists of a team of qualified psychological wellbeing practitioners and psychological therapists and can offer both face to face, online video calls and phone appointments.

The aim of the service is to help you begin to feel better and to give you the tools and techniques to improve your mental and physical wellbeing. Whether you’re dealing with an overwhelming life event, feeling like you’re stuck in a rut that you can’t get out of, having sleepless nights or living with a long term health condition that leaves you struggling to cope, they are here to help.

ChatHealth Logo

Devon County Council runs a confidential secure text messaging service for parents of children aged 0-19 years called ChatHealth. The service operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, excluding bank holidays. All texts will be responded to by a public health nurse (health visitor/school nurse) within 24 hours. Outside of the service working hours, you’ll receive a message back to inform you that your text will be responded to once the line reopens. You can also call our Public Health Nursing hubs on the numbers listed below.
