Triple P Baby Programme in Leicester City

What is Triple P Baby?

Triple P for Baby is designed to support parents in making a positive transition into parenthood and navigating their baby’s first year.

The programme encourages sensitive, responsive care during the perinatal period and beyond. In this group, you will gain insights into how to nurture your baby’s development, strengthen your bond, and support their emotional and physical well-being.

It explores:

  • How to understand your baby’s cues
  • Tips for setting up healthy sleep habits
  • Ways to manage frequent crying
  • How to care for yourself as a parent
  • Adjusting to changes in family life
  • And so much more!

Who can attend and what to expect?

The programme is open to parents or carers living in Leicester City who have a baby aged 0 to 12 months and can commit to attending all nine weeks of the course.

  • Week 1 – Coffee morning and getting to know each other
  • Weeks 2 to 5 – Friendly group sessions with helpful tips and support
  • Weeks 6 to 8 – Check-ins via phone call or home visit
  • Week 9 – Celebration session back with the group, share your wins and reflect on the journey!

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust runs a confidential secure text messaging service for parents of children aged 0-19 years called Chat Health. The service operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, excluding bank holidays. All texts will be responded to by a public health nurse (health visitor/school nurse) within 24 hours. Outside of the service working hours, you’ll receive a message back to inform you that your text will be responded to once the line reopens.

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust runs the Healthy Together Helpline for parents and carers in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The Helpline’s qualified health and administrative professionals offer easy to access, safe and free advice, support and signposting. Calls are answered from 9am – 4.30pm on weekdays, excluding bank holidays. Calls are charged at the same rate as calling a standard landline number.
