How to make: Tasty Fillings

In their early years, children are experiencing lots of things for the first time, so if their first experiences of food are enjoyable, it’s likely that they will develop positive attitudes to foods and grow up with healthy food being part of normal family life.

Our healthy recipes are ideal for you to follow along with your children, and help them to enjoy different foods too.

Including children in the making of meals and snacks is a great way to introduce foods, and our recipes show ways you can make the activity safe and fun for your toddler.

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust runs a confidential secure text messaging service for parents of children aged 0-5 years called ChatHealth. The service operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, excluding bank holidays. All texts will be responded to by a health visitor within 24 hours. Outside of the service working hours, you’ll receive a message back to inform you that your text will be responded to once the service reopens.
