Healthy Start, Brighter future

The Best Start with HENRY service supports families with children aged 0-5 to provide the best and healthiest start in life for their children and cover three key themes.

  • Infant feeding
  • Healthy eating
  • Oral Health

The team offer free support to all families in the borough with children aged 0-5 and this can be provided by phone, video call or face-to-face.

Infant feeding – breast, bottle or mixed

  • A dedicated infant feeding helpline, staffed by our local practitioners (0207 961 9073). Get practical and emotional support with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and mixed feeding.

Healthy families and Dental health

  • Drop-in sessions to chat with one of our HENRY nutritionists for support around healthy eating, weight concerns, starting solids, active play and much more! No appointment necessary – visit the events page to find out more
  • Telephone or video appointments are available if you cannot attend a face-to-face session. Please contact the team to book – wfhealthyfamilies@henry.org.uk
  • An updated dentist list so you can find a dentist in the borough. We update this list every six weeks.
  • A free Healthy Families Group Programme running across the term both face-to-face and virtually. Meet local parents and explore guidance and solutions to issues such as parenting confidence, what children and family eat and enjoying life as a family. Read more here.
  • Starting Solids and Healthy Teeth workshops taking place every fortnight for local families. These sessions are run face-to-face and virtually. Visit the events page to find out more.

The 0-19 Single Point of Access, is the central hub for all health visiting services. You can call here to speak to the duty health practitioner, book appointments for clinic or health reviews, or give feedback about the service. We are open Monday to Friday, from 9am - 5pm (excluding bank holidays).

Should you require urgent health advice in the meantime, please contact your GP, visit an NHS walk-in centre or call NHS 111. For emergencies, dial 999 or visit A&E.
