Help me - I'm a Parent! - PLAY - FREE Webinar from Devon Children's Centres

Devon Children's Centres

Often PLAY is talked about as a relief from serious learning. But, for children play it is actually serious learning.

In this webinar, Devon Children’s Centres will explore with the group what is meant by play and why it’s important, what do we need to be able to play with our children. Participants will also think about types of play and development and how we can help by building those positive relationships with our children.

You’ll look at repetitive play and why children from an early age enjoying playing the same games over and over again, or having the same story read at bedtime.

And of course, this is a very big topic in the world that we live in – screen time.  The webinar will look at what you as parents and carers need to know about screen time, how much is recommended for different ages and stages of children’s development and how to choose healthier screen times for your children.

How often do we say be careful you’ll hurt yourself or you’ll fall; we’ll give you an insight into risky play – why it’s important for your child, how to create opportunities for children to self-assess their ability to take risks, while still adhering to the rules and boundaries that you put in place.

To reserve a spot at this free webinar, please visit the Help me – I’m a Parent! – PLAY event page on Eventbrite.
