How do you know you are safe with Leicester Hospital’s Maternity Services?
- We have training available for staff in LGBTQ+ healthcare needs
- We have staff guidelines to help support personalised care for our trans and non-binary community
- We are regularly reviewing our signs and posters to make them more inclusive
- We will be asking you what your pronouns are, and you may see staff members wearing badges that tell you theirs
- We are part of the Rainbow Badge scheme. This is a scheme that gives staff a way to show that Leicester Hospitals give open, non-judgemental and inclusive care for people and their families, who identify as LGBTQ+
- We have been awarded Gold in LGBTQ+ healthcare excellence by the LGBT Foundation for our efforts in improving care for the LGBTQ+ community

Same sex female couples are eligible for one cycle of IVF if they have previously had unsuccessful (self-funded) cycles of donor insemination at an HFEA Licensed Fertility Centre or have an identified cause of subfertility.
