BABES groups in Nottinghamshire

Mums are encouraged to visit BABES breastfeeding groups in Nottinghamshire.

Support is available in the Nottinghamshire community for mums who want help or advice about breastfeeding. Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s Healthy Family Teams offer antenatal and postnatal breastfeeding support to mums and mums-to-be. This can be in the home, health centres or in children’s centres at the BABES (Baby and Breastfeeding Encouragement and Support) groups. There are some fantastic volunteer breastfeeding peer supporters who help run the BABES groups.

We visited Manton Children’s Centre in Worksop to talk to organisers and users of the BABES breastfeeding support group about what benefits the group can offer new mums.
