We know that listening and talking means children can play, learn and make friends… giving children the best start.
Leaflets produced by Nottinghamshire County Council help you, your partner and family see all the places you can go to help grow your child’s language and communication skills.
They include information while you are pregnant, when the baby arrives, joining your local library, details of your local children’s centre service team, information on the Healthy Family Teams, and finding a toddler group, childminder, nursery or school.
They also provide help if you are worried about your child’s speech, language or communication.

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust runs a confidential secure text messaging service for parents of children aged 0-19 years called Parentline. The service operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.30pm, excluding bank holidays. All texts will be responded to by a public health practitioner within 24 hours. Outside of the service working hours, you’ll receive a message back to inform you that your text will be responded to once the line reopens.
