PROGRAMME
An initial workshop, online, is offered for parents/carers, sharing advice and strategies which may help, parent/carer is then asked to try the advised strategies and if no success, to contact the Continence Team after a month.
An initial assessment will then be arranged, completed and if the team are able to help, a programme of care will be offered over a three-month period. This may involve loan of an enuresis alarm if appropriate, or prescribed medication if appropriate.
Continence containment products may be arranged for those children over 4 with additional needs. There will be a product review 6-12 monthly to ensure the product remains suitable.
An onward referral to the GP for referral to specialist services will be made if no progress is achieved by the end of the programme, full engagement within the programme is strongly encouraged.
