Hertfordshire family centre service

 

The Hertfordshire Family Centre Service is a collaboration between Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust’s Public Health Nursing and School Nursing Teams, and the Family Support Services.  We work in partnership with the other local agencies to support families get off to the best possible start in life, and promote their health and resilience as they grow up.

We offer a wide range of support which includes:

  • Ante-natal classes and social events
  • Support with infant feeding
  • Health Visiting 0-5
  • School Nursing 5+Years
  • Support with parenting
  • Support with children with special needs and disabilities
  • Support with families experiencing domestic abuse
  • Help finding childcare
  • Fun activities to do with your baby and child
  • Opportunities for families to get involved with volunteering

And so much more.

             

ChatHealth Logo

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust runs a confidential secure text messaging service for parents of children aged 0-5 years called ChatHealth. The service operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, excluding bank holidays. All texts will be responded to by a health visitor within 24 hours. Outside of the service working hours, you’ll receive a message back to inform you that your text will be responded to once the service reopens.
