Early Help Support for Children and Families

How to access extra help or support for a social, health or education concerns.

Early Help is a partnership approach between health, education, children’s services and the voluntary services. Everyone needs a little helps at times. Parents or carers might be worried about a social, health or education issue or want to make changes to their life. Walsall Early Help partnership offers support to children, young people and their families to ensure that the right help is given at the right time. Services work together with families to identify the needs of the family and offer support to improve lives.

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust runs a confidential secure text messaging service for parents of children aged 0-19 years called Parentline. The service operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.30pm, excluding bank holidays. All texts will be responded to by a public health practitioner within 24 hours. Outside of the service working hours, you’ll receive a message back to inform you that your text will be responded to once the line reopens.
