Walsall Holiday Activity & Food Programme

This is a free and exciting holiday programme for children and young people aged 5 to 16 who are eligible for free school meals. The programme is running over school holidays.

Who is the programme available to?

This programme is available to you if you are a Walsall Parent and your child meets any of the criteria listed below:

  • Your child receives income related free school meals
  • Your child has an EHCP
  • Your child is open to a plan (EH,CIN,CP)
  • Your child is a young carer

How to register:

Each eligible child will be sent a letter with a unique code on so you can register. If you are eligible and haven’t received one, please email: WR4C@walsall.gov.uk. Every parent who would like to book onto the activities must complete the registration process to enable Walsall Council to gain the essential data first such as:

  • Dietary needs
  • SEND needs
  • Photo consent
  • Emergency contact details

ChatHealth Logo

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust runs a confidential secure text messaging service for parents of children aged 0-5 years called ChatHealth. The service operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm, excluding bank holidays. All texts will be responded to by a health visitor within 24 hours. Outside of the service working hours, you’ll receive a message back to inform you that your text will be responded to once the service reopens.

Should you require urgent health advice in the meantime, please contact your GP, visit an NHS walk-in centre or call NHS 111. For emergencies, dial 999 or visit A&E.
